Oomūli feature guides
Personal Finances
Track your own bills, payments and cash outlook without losing the history.
What this feature is for and who can use it
- Open Tools & settings (More on a phone), then Personal Finances. If you have no establishment, use Personal Finances on the welcome screen.
- Use it to track your own bills, account balances and expected income. Active Premium employers sponsor employee access. Your employer cannot see your personal records.
- Your records stay with your account if you leave an employer. Sponsorship ends with a 30-day editing grace period; afterward, saved records remain readable and exportable. Individual checkout is not available yet.
Amounts are currently in USD. Availability depends on whether the feature has been enabled for this release.
Add the accounts you want to track
- Open Accounts, then select Add account.
- Enter a description, choose Bank account, Cash, Credit card or Loan, and enter the balance you checked. Use a negative balance for money owed on a credit card or loan.
- Set Balance checked on. Keep at least (USD) is the minimum cash balance you want the forecast to flag. Select Save.
Oomūli records what you enter. It does not connect to a bank or move money. Use Correct recorded balance when your records need a correction.
Add a bill and record a payment
- Select Add bill. Enter Description, Amount (USD) and Due date. Choose Pay from if you know which account will pay it.
- For a repeating bill, choose Repeat and Create bills through. Review dates shows the bills that will be created. Choose what happens when a month does not contain the selected day.
- Select Save. The bill appears in Bills. Adding a bill does not change your recorded account balance.
- After you pay, find the bill and select Record payment. Enter the amount actually paid, choose Pay from, and select Save. A partial payment leaves the rest outstanding.
For example, paying $25 toward a $100 bill leaves $75 to pay. Use Add credit for a reduction without money moving; use Record refund when money is returned.
Review a month and look ahead
- Open Bills and choose Month. Use Search bills or Show to narrow the list.
- Select Month calendar and choose a day to see its bills. Previous month and Next month change the view; they do not delete records.
- Open Cash forecast and choose Forecast through month. The chart starts today. Expand View daily balances for the exact figures.
- Use History to review recorded changes, including payments and corrections.
Expected income is excluded unless you select Also include expected income (less conservative). Bills without an account are listed separately and are not included in account balances. This forecast is an estimate based on your records, not a historical bank statement.
Export, print and resolve a save problem
- Open the view you want to share and select Export / Print. Read the scope and preview to check which records are included.
- Select Export CSV for a spreadsheet, or Print / Save as PDF to use your browser’s print options.
- If a save cannot be confirmed, select Retry save safely. Do not enter the same payment again.
- If access is read-only, you can still review and export saved records. Contact your administrator about business access, or Help & feedback about your personal plan.
Changing a month does not erase earlier records. If an amount is rejected, use a decimal amount without a currency symbol, such as 0.25 or .25. These guides describe the staging candidate; physical-device printing still needs acceptance testing.
